The Road Marking Forum exists to act as an information port to local authorities, Public and Private Specifiers,
Highways Agency, consultancies and laboratories, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and best practice between
clients and the industry.
The road marking and road stud standard specification document, StanSpec is produced by the Road
Safety Markings Association and the Road Marking Forum in consultation with client side organisations
offering guidance to ensure road-markings meet the latest end-user performance requirements under
BSEN 1436, BSEN 1824, and BSEN 1871. (StanSpec is updated annually.)
Through projects including the development of the standard specification document, the forum provides guidance
and clarification of changes affecting the industry and provides an opportunity to hear the latest developments first hand.
